Police Community Vehicle

Chrisco sponsored a new Police Community Vehicle which will go to the NSW Police Crime Prevention Team to help them continue their community initiatives in the Flemington LAC district.

Chrisco has had a long association with the NSW Police Crime Prevention Team dating back to 2005. When we were first approached with the opportunity to sponsor a Police Community Vehicle the efforts of the Crime Prevention Team within schools, businesses and the local community were so well aligned with our sponsorship philosophies, that there was little hesitation in embracing the initiative. The co-marking of the vehicle is not just cosmetic, but reflects a joint commitment by the Police and Chrisco to our local community.

With the addition of the Peugeot 4007, Chrisco now sponsor three vehicles operating in NSW housed at the Auburn, Dubbo and Bathurst stations.

Below are photos of Clara of Chrisco receiving thanks from Assistant Commissioner Minelli SW Metro Commander and Sergeant Peter Nicolle of Flemington LAC, photos of Lawrence and Clara from Chrisco with new Peugeot 4007 and Lawrence officially signing over the Mazda to Rod Blackman from Dubbo Police.

Chrisco Angels

Chrisco along with Brady Hall from ACA have over the last three years have given out hampers to the needy across the country. This year Brady put out a call to those people who were deserving of little extra help this Christmas to come down and visit him at a couple of local parks across the country and pick up a hamper. Needless to say Brady was inundated by those who were very grateful for the offer and he was able to help many families.

The Chrisco Angels also came to 2GB this year. Callers had to nominate friends that were down on their luck and needing a little extra cheer this Christmas. We had several worthy winners and we hope our hampers go towards making their Christmas a little less stressful and little happier.

Starlight Foundation:

Over the last couple of years Chrisco has been able to work with the Starlight Foundation and help them with their task of brightening lives of seriously ill and hospitalised children and their families.

Chrisco was approached this year by the Starlight Foundation to help grant Christmas wishes for 6 seriously ill children. The Starlight Foundation had organised for these children to go on a much deserved holiday with their families and have their special wishes granted over the Christmas period and therefore wouldn’t be home to enjoy a Christmas lunch with families. We were able to send them hampers so that the family could enjoy the holiday without the extra stress of buying groceries.

Earlier in the year we also helped out with their annual Starlight Day donating Popcorn Machines and Fairy Floss Makers to raffle on the day of their fair themed fundraiser.

The Canterbury Bulldogs, Camp Quality and The Salvation Army

Over the last three years Chrisco has teamed up with the The Canterbury Bulldogs by donating hampers to both Camp Quality and The Salvation Army, both charities that The Canterbury Bulldogs have long associations with.

Camp Quality donate their hampers to the Westmead Ronald McDonald House which houses families of seriously ill children that unfortunately have to have long term stays in hospital.

Club legend Terry Lamb Captain Michael Ennis, new recruit James Gavet and NYC player and Bulldogs trainee Moses Mbye assisted with the delivery and then stayed to join the kids in arts and craft hour.

Below are photos of Chrisco’s Liz and Michael donating with the Bulldog players.

We also made a stopover at Westmead Children’s Hospital to donate hampers to children who will be in the wards over the Christmas period. Below are photos of the boys helping us carry the hampers up to the wards.

Our donation of Hampers to The Salvation Army goes towards feeding a small number of the 5000 families that go to The Salvation Army over the Christmas period asking for help. The Salvation Army work tirelessly to fundraise and provide financial advice and basic groceries to families all year round and appreciate our little help at Christmas time.

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs player’s Ben Barba and Corey Payne joined club legend Terry Lamb in helping us deliver our hampers this year.

“It is a great thing what Chrisco are doing and we are so glad we can join with them”, said Barba

“We have been working with the Salvation Army at Campsie for a couple of years now and the work they do for the community is really important”

“Playing rugby league we are very privileged and can enjoy a nice Christmas, but there are a lot of people out there that struggle this time of year and the hampers will make it that little bit more special for them,” finished Barba.

Below are some shots of the boys filling up the shelves of the Campsie Community Services Centre with Liz and Michael from Chrisco.

Mission Australia Triple R Services

Chrisco has had a long association with Mission Australia through our annual donations of Hampers at Christmas time, a time when struggling families often need an extra helping hand, so when we were approached by Mission Australia with a new innovative project last year we were excited to be able to help.

Mission Australia had identified a need for an online finical and gambling service- one that would give those struggling a first point of contact to identify the problem and where to go for help.

The website is designed to not only give advice to those affected but help family members and friends with information on who to turn to for help, how to identify the problem with the Bet-Lie indicator, the Personal Money plan Maker and the money issues Indicator.

Mission Australia and Father Chris Riley from Youth Off the Streets

Every year we donate a number of hampers to Mission Australia and Father Chris Riley from Youth Off the Streets. Both foundations work all year round trying to get people off the streets and give them a bed for the night and food. They provide excellent support in many areas of life such as job advice, skills training and counselling. These hampers will go a small way towards helping to feed the homeless and those down on their luck during a very tough and lonely time for those who are living on the streets, Christmas. This year will be no different with a number of hampers allocated to go out to these Charities to be distributed amongst those in need.
